This was probably the longest one month I have experienced. To top it off, it feels like the loneliest one month that I spent with strangers in a foreign place. Yet, it was probably the most fun experience that I got to experience in one month. I have learned to adjust and love the community, the people, my groupmates and everything else that has something to do with Kaangayan. Even the stemborers and black bugs wanted to join the fun but unfortunately, we were not a fan of them. I guess after four years in the community, I will also learn to love them, like find a way to outsmart the deceiving creatures. Anyway, the experience is wonderful. I can say that I became a better person, one way or another, I have learned how to be independent, be humble, patient and be understanding to anyone anytime. The people have taught me how fortunate I am even though I rant sometimes over insignificant things. Being in Kaangayan for some time makes life worth living and a perfect opportunity to develop my skills as a medical student and a better person.
