Barangay
Kaangayan was originally under barangay Guripan, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur. The
first people who lived in the community were the Ozaminons. Two of them were
Mayor Vicente Ostia Sr. and Mr. Cesar Angayan who both agreed to donate a
portion of their shared land to make barangay road going to Molave, Catholic
church properties and school site. Because of this, Mayor Vicente Ostia Sr. suggested
